Full-Time Licensed Administrative Assistant

Duties:

• Account documentation management

• Process and monitor client trades with accuracy

• Maintain/manage client database & and run reports

• Schedule and coordinate appointments with clients

• Support review of client’s portfolios to identify client needs

• Identify opportunities to gather additional assets and/or increase revenue within the existing client base (i.e. referrals, consolidation of assets, insurance, etc…)
• Client communication – daily, by telephone and email

 

Qualifications

• Must have a Canadian Securities license, OR be willing to become licensed

• Be proficient with Microsoft Office/computers

• Have experience with Maximizer CRM and Compass an asset
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

• Aptitude with numbers and sharp attention to detail
• Financial Industry experience and Post-Secondary an asset

Associate/Junior Investment Advisor
 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Investment Advisor’s primary focus is to proactively grow the Assets Under Management (AUM) for the branch office by attracting new clients as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients. The Advisor will assist clients in securing their financial goals by reviewing their investment objectives and risk tolerance while recommending suitable wealth management solutions that reduce risk through disciplined rebalancing.
 

Duties:

• Entering client trades as directed by the client
• Proactively establishing, developing, and maintaining strong client relationships by getting an understanding of a client’s financial situation, Investment goals/objectives, and risk tolerance
• Reviewing the portfolio to ensure it meets the updated risk profile and aligns with the applicable investment program
• Preparing investment/portfolio recommendations for clients and presenting them with a high degree of confidence
• Reviewing and reducing all restricted accounts
• Identifying opportunities to gather additional assets and/or increase revenue within the existing client base (i.e. referrals, consolidation of assets, insurance, etc.…)
 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a Canadian Securities Course (CSC) licensed Assistant, Associate or Financial Advisor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of investment and retirement planning sufficient to meet the needs of clients and to compete for business within the current market
• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet targets and deadlines
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Proficient with Microsoft Office/computers
• Experience with Maximizer CRM, Croesus, Compass, iMost, Next Rep is an asset (but not required)
